Dress codes!

In Austria we usually don’t have dress codes or uniforms.
Students are allowed to wear whatever they want to.
They spend a lot of money on expensive fashion outfits.
If you have old-fashion clothes you are nobody, because clothes say who you are.

I think this is a real problem for children, who can’t afford this luxury.
So they make themselves ridiculous.
That’s often the reason for getting criminal. They steal money to buy fashion-clothes, which the other kids wear. Now they are included.

In every school there are a few girls, who think they have the dress sense!
They wear outfits in school, which look like their partywear.
For example they wear a halter which shows the neckline and the whole navel.
In this case, schools are right to set some standards.

If everybody wears the same uniform, this would be no longer a problem for future.
But there are so many kids, who are against school uniforms, because they think they wouldn’t fell like themselves without their own style.

One the one hand dress codes are good for helping students to save money and to reduce stress in school, but one the other hand dress codes force people to do what they don’t want to do and so they ban an important means of expressing themselves.

In the whole I support dress codes, but I am against school uniforms, because I think that this would be too strict.
